Shift workers
Open when you are actually free
If you finish at six in the morning or start at eight at night, every repair shop in Ipswich is shut when you can get to one. That is the whole reason we run the hours we do.
Where we go
- The Port of Felixstowe
- Ipswich Hospital
- Ransomes Europark
- Ravenswood
- Trimley St Mary
The problem
Why the usual way does not work
The standard opening hours in this trade are roughly nine to half five, Monday to Saturday. For anyone on shifts that is a list of times they are at work. The result is a cracked screen carried around for months because there was never a window to deal with it.
We run from seven in the morning until midnight, seven days a week. That is not a special arrangement, it is the normal booking.
What we do about it
How it works for shift workers
- Evenings and weekends as standard
- 7am to midnight, every day. No premium for an early or late slot and no call-out charge either.
- At the site, if that is easier
- The car park at the port or the hospital works fine. A screen takes about thirty-five minutes, which fits inside a break.
- One message and it is booked
- No forms and no waiting for a callback during hours you are asleep. Send a WhatsApp whenever suits and we will reply with a price and a time.
- Salt water is urgent
- If you work near the water at Felixstowe and a phone goes in, message us straight away. Do not charge it and do not put it in rice. With salt, hours matter.
