Phone camera repair in Ipswich, at your door
Cameras fail in ways that look like software problems. A permanently blurry shot, a shaking preview, a black rectangle where the viewfinder should be — all of those are usually the module or the lens glass over it, and all of them are fixable at your door in about half an hour.

What causes it
Why this happens
- Cracked lens glass
- The small glass covering the lenses shatters easily on a face-up drop. Photos come out hazy or streaked with light because the crack scatters everything coming in.
- A failed stabiliser
- A buzzing or rattling sound from the camera and a preview that will not settle mean the optical stabiliser has been shaken loose, usually by a drop.
- Autofocus that hunts
- The camera racks in and out and never settles. The focus motor has failed, and no amount of restarting will bring it back.
- Dust and moisture behind the glass
- Once the seal is broken, dust settles on the sensor and shows as fixed dark spots in the same place on every photo.

How long it takes
About 35 minutes at your door
About 35 minutes. Rear cameras on most handsets come out from the back, so if the rear glass is also broken it is worth doing both in one visit.

- Every lens tested — wide, ultra-wide and front — before we leave
- 12-month warranty on the part and the labour
- An honest answer if it turns out to be software, not hardware
- No call-out charge anywhere in IP1–IP12
Questions
The things people ask
How do I know it is not just software?
Try another camera app and restart the phone first. If the fault survives both, it is hardware. We check this before charging you for a part.
Only the lens glass is cracked. Is that cheaper?
Usually yes. If the module underneath is fine we replace only the glass, and you pay for that rather than a full camera.
Can you fix the front camera too?
Yes. On most handsets it sits with the earpiece assembly, so if the earpiece is also muffled we can do both together.
